Andres Perez, MD
Dr. Andres Perez got a medical degree at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota Colombia on 1987, with a Residence on Traumatology & Orthopedic Surgery at São Paulo Brazil in 1993 and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at University Of Miami in 1994.
He moved to USA on august of 2000. Dr. Perez finished his training on Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital North, on 2006. Dr. Perez develops his practice at the Foot and Ankle surgeon and has been one of the few local Surgeons that perform a Total Ankle implant / Joint replacement.
Also, Dr. Perez develop a growing practices that serve over a big amount of Hispanic and Brazilian local community that cover around 65% of his patient populations. In 2013 Dr. Perez was elected as a President of the Colombo American Medical association and got reelected for another additional period by unanimous board decision.
His vision and actual mission is keep working to lead activities to allow COAMED to impact and help our underserved communities at local level and also at International level. Dr. Andres Perez is the Chairman of COAMED Foundation since 2017.
Fabio Echavarria, M.D.
Hector Lozano, M.D.
Dr. Lozano is an Invasive Cardiologist in private practice in Central Florida since 2006. He joined Florida Heart Group in 2008 after completing his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College and his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
He has served as the Medical Director of the Vascular Ultrasound laboratory at Florida Heart Group, Faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Florida Hospital Orlando and as Chief of Cardiology at Florida Hospital Altamonte.
He is one of the founders and current President of the Colombo-American Medical Association, a non-for-profit organization dedicated to attend under-served communities in Central Florida and abroad.
Javier Miller
Born in Bugalagrande, Valle, Colombia. Graduated as Medical Doctor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain February 1978.
In November 1978 Given a Title of Bachelor Degree in Medicine By the Medical School with Excellent mark.
Internship and Pediatric Residency at Lincoln Medical & Mental health Center (New York Medical College) Finishing in June 1986
Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at New York Medical College from July 1986 to June 1988.
Appointed Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Princeton Hospital, Orlando Florida, by Peers for two years February 1996.
Reappointed again by Peers for 2 more years in February 1998.
Appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor for Florida State University College of Medicine in October 2011.
Open Water Diver, since November 1983.

Johan Cardenas
Johan Cardenas was born and raised in Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia and Moved to the United States in 1992 to finish High School at The Military Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas in St, Paul,MN.
Graduated from Commercial Pilot School in 1996 at “Escuela de Aviacion de los Andes (Aeroandes) and returned to the United States to complete Business School at St. Thomas University in 1998. Johan Cardenas obtain his degree in Finance.
Johan Cardenas strongly believes in COAMED Foundation Mission, Vision and Values. As a Relationship Manager/Private Banker for 17 years, Mr. Cardenas is able to provide the banking financial support to the best of COAMED Foundation.
Mr. Cardenas is Board member of COAMED Foundation where he is currently involved as a Co-Treasurer and has been involved in different non-profit organizations in the United States, such as COAMED Association, Pan-American Medical Association, Pan-American Dental Society, Orange and Seminole County Medical Societies. He has been a board director of COAMED Foundation since 2017
Marcela Ramirez, M.D.
Dr. Marcela Ramirez earned her Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia. She has dedicated all her career to the area of Primary Care.
She also earned a degree in Health Services Administration and a Masters of Public Health and Epidemiology from the University of South Florida. She has held important executive positions in Primary Care Groups in Orlando.
Dr Ramirez was part of the first Board of Directors for Coamed and since then has continued to serve as a Board Member and participated in various medical missions. She was elected to be the first female President of Coamed Foundation in 2021 and she expects to carry on with the legacy of service and compassion that defines Coamed’s mission.
Milena Portillo
Milena Portillo is a Colombian attorney graduated at Universidad Sergio Arboleda and at Stetson University College of Law, with a L.L.M in International Law. She is admitted to the New York Bar since 2012. She founded Portillo Immigration Law, PA in 2014 with offices in Orlando and Plant City, FL, where she practices immigration law in Florida and throughout the United States.
She is a passionate advocate who offers a knowledgeable and fearless representation to her clients who come from a wide range of backgrounds, from investors to migrant workers. Her cases include investors visas, labor certifications, waiver, family petitions, U visas, asylum, removal defense, among others.
She is one of the counselors of the selective pool of attorneys of the Mexican Consulate in Orlando, FL. She dedicates more than 200 hours per year to probono activities in the community.
She has been invited as a panelist at immigration law conferences organized by the American Immigration Lawyers Association “AILA” and Charitable Immigration Legacy “CIL” and by media outlets and organizations to discuss and educate the community on hot immigration topics and immigration law overall.
Nicolas Fernandez, M.D.
Dr. Fernandez moved to the United States in 1999 where he validated his medical credentials and graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-UMDJ as Anesthesiologist with Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia in 2004.
In 2017 Dr. Fernandez was Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine at the University of South Florida. Being a doctor was his dream job.
Dr. Fernandez is a Board Member of COAMED Association where he served as Treasurer and participated in events and missions designated to provide assistance to under-served communities.
Currently, Dr. Fernandez serves as Vice chairman of COAMED Foundation where he expects to continue serving kids and families in poverty-stricken communities.

Sindy Walters
Graduated from University Of Central Florida with a degree in Business and began her career with Northwestern Mutual in 2007.
Sindy Walters is a Million Dollar Table Qualifier, Lives Leader summit Qualifier and OARS qualifier graduate of Fast track Academy and LEAD Academy, achieved the coveted Pacesetter First 40 followed by the New Achievement Award.
Working with the Hispanic Community in Central Florida, educating the community on financial planning, how to accumulate assets and most importantly how to protect and grow what is important to each person.
As a district Director, in partnership with her team of advisors, they work closely with different organizations in Central Florida; COAMED, Prospecta and Hispanic Bar Association, to name a few.
Sindy C. Walters, is currently a board Director of COAMED foundation since 2017, where she is presently the treasurer of the Foundation.
